The FA (Football association) will attempt to seduce Pep Guardiola into accepting the role of England selector following the Europa cup in France.

The Bayern coach, informs The Sun, is the clear favourite to take over from Roy Hodgeson. The FA, according to the newspaper cited, will be offering the ex-Barcelona FC coach 13.5 million euros per year.

Gary Neville and Aland Pardew are two additional candidates on the bench for the English selection.

Manchester City and Manchester United

Guardiola's future could be in England. The two Manchester clubs, United and City, also want to hire the Santpedor coach.

Sir Alex Ferguson had already tempted Guardiola with directing Manchester United when the Scottish coach announced his retirement. Ferran Soriano (sporting director) and Txiki Begiristain (economic director) endorsed his signing for City.

The Santpedor coach, who over the last few days has stated his position in favor of Cataluña's independence, is contracted with Bayern until the 30th of June 2016. He has repeatedly refused to negotiate a contract extension, and is gaining more and more detractors in the Bavarian club.
